At Child Action, Inc., the Provider Department enrolls child care providers into the subsidy program and maintains their file so they adhere to County, State and Child Action, Inc. policies and regulations. During enrollment, we ensure providers complete all necessary requirements and remain in compliance with policies to receive subsidy payments.
PRO-TIP: Informing your your assigned Provider Department staff person of any changes to your operations such as names, phone numbers, addresses, types of care, rate changes, will help ensure your files remain in compliance.
To enroll, a child care provider must be 18 years or older, be licensed or exempt from licensure, pass a qualifying background check, be free of active Tuberculosis and able to provide care for families residing in Sacramento County.
Parents who receive support from either Child Action, Inc.’s or Sacramento County’s subsidy programs, may request the enrollment of the preferred provider outside of our current network. That chosen provider will undergo a thorough background check and/or submit relationship verification documents. They are then scheduled for an orientation appointment and given enrollment paperwork to complete. Throughout this process, Child Action, Inc. will provide guidance and resources to help providers in their enrollment process. Please feel free to reach out to the Provider Department at (916) 369-0191.
Whether it's facilitating access to resources, offering guidance on best practices, or updating the provider’s information to maintain compliance, our team is committed to supporting providers every step of the way. The Provider Department at Child Action Inc. looks forward to partnering with you to create a brighter future for our children!
