Child Action, Inc. provides all families free referrals for child care in Sacramento County, regardless of income.
Enrollment in the Child Action, Inc. Referral Files is voluntary. All child care centers and family child care homes in the referral files must be licensed or exempt from licensure.
Child Action, Inc. contacts all newly licensed providers to enroll in the referral database, however, providers may request enrollment at any time. All licensed providers will be contacted annually for permission to refer families for care.
Providers who enroll in the referral database are asked to complete the provider profile, provide a current, signed rate sheets, and signed file certification.
Please be sure to read and review the detailed “Child Care Referral Policies” under Resources. You will find information regarding temporary and permanent removal from the referral list as well as the appeals process.
