Honoring Women’s Equality Day – August 26, 2025

At Child Action, Inc., we celebrate Women’s Equality Day every year on August 26. This day honors the moment in 1920 when women in the United States won the right to vote through the 19th Amendment.

It took many years of hard work, marches, and teamwork for women to gain this important right. Women from many backgrounds came together to speak up and make sure their voices were heard. In 1971, Congress made August 26 an official day to remember their efforts and to remind us that the work for equal rights is still important today.

Women’s Equality Day is about more than history. It’s about the present and future, too. At Child Action, we support fairness and respect for everyone. We work to make sure women feel welcome, supported, and able to lead in all parts of our organization and community. This day is a good time to reflect on how far we’ve come and what more we can do.

Whether we learn something new, support a coworker, or help make our workplace more fair and welcoming, we each play a role in building equality.

Happy Women’s Equality Day! Let’s keep working together to make sure everyone has a voice and a chance to succeed.
