Sacramento CARES, the local AB212 educational stipend program has come to an end.  Thank you to all participants who have accessed CARES to support their professional goals over the past 19 years.

While the CARES program in its current form has ended, the Californian Department of Education is transitioning what was the AB 212 funding into the Quality Counts California Workforce Pathways Grant.  The purpose of this grant is to support increased learning and healthy development of young children by increasing the number of qualified early learning professionals and supporting the increase of knowledge and competencies of the current workforce.  It is designed to align with the Quality County California system and focus on the local workforce needs across all childcare settings.

Organized by Raising Quality Together, Sacramento’s QCC, a consortium of local agencies is currently planning for the work of this funding.  Please stay connected to hear more about the opportunities for supports through this new grant.
